COGCC ISSUES DRILLING PERMITS FOR INTERCHANGE AND NORTHWEST PADS

In response to an inquiry on the evening of August 23, Director of Strategic Initiatives Tami Yellico sent the following email:

“Today Broomfield was notified that COGCC issued the following:

13 Form 2s for the Interchange A Pad
12 Form 2s for the Interchange B Pad
8 Form 2s for the Northwest A Pad
6 Form 2s for the Northwest B Pad
The Form 2A for the Interstate A and B Pads
The Form 2A for the Northwest A Pad
The Form 2A for the Northwest B Pad
The chart below shows how many Form 2s have been issued to date and for which pads.”

The COGCC map has been updated with the directional boreholes (horizontal wells) that have been approved this week for the Northwest A, Northwest B and Interchange A & B pads. The legend at the left lists that the green lines are approved and the aqua lines are pending.  You can see the map on this page or here.

Maybe the easiest way to get a reference point is to look at this in relation to the pads. So the origin of the boreholes in Section 7 is the Livingston Pad, the origin in Section 9 is Northwest A & Northwest B and in Section 10 is Interchange A & B.
