Crestone Submits Updates for Goltl Pads Under Protest

The City reported on January 28 that it had received documents from Crestone Peak Resources in response to Broomfield’s April 24 comments on Crestone’s application for Use by Special Review (USR) for the Goltl Pads.  (See map below).  Crestone’s USR was first received by the City on February 23, 2018 and can be viewed here.

Crestone’s recently submitted documents can be viewed here.  While Staff is beginning to review the documents, citizens can write their comments to oilandgasapplication@broomfield.org

City Council had directed Staff to protest the approval of Crestone Goltl Pad permits by the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) on December 7 over Broomfield objections.  However, due to a lapse by the City, the COGCC hearing which was scheduled to go forward on January 29 was postponed until March 11 & 12.  According to the COGCC agenda, the City failed to follow COGCC procedures to publish notice of municipality challenges in the newspaper.
