On September 18, the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) reopened the comment period on the proposed Crestone Acme Pad in Erie, just north of Anthem Ranch on Highway 7. Please consider writing comments to reflect the protection of health, safety and welfare and consideration of cumulative impacts as required by SB19-181 Protect Public Welfare Oil and Gas Operations.
You can post your comments here. You can access the Acme Pad permit details on the COGCC permits page . GO to Location Assessment Permits (Form 2A): and then choose Weld County. Search for “Acme.”
The previous comment period ended on December 30, 2018, before the passage of SB19-181. Please see further details about comments submitted at that time by the City and County of Broomfield here. Residents Rights also submitted comments which you can read here. Erie Thriving is a subsidiary of Residents Rights which filed a lawsuit against Erie over its approval of the Acme Pad.
Also, on Thursday, September 19 at 6 pm at the Erie High School Cafeteria (on the west end of the school), Crestone is holding a meeting for all Broomfield residents with questions and concerns about the proposed 30 well Acme Pad just north of Anthem Ranch. If you did not receive an invitation, you can attend by emailing email@example.com to RSVP.
