Sign Petition, Write, or Attend: Request Adams 12 School Board Not Sign the Mineral Lease – Protect Health and Safety

Concerned parents of Adams 12 Five Star School District invite you to sign a petition to the Adams 12 School Board to ask them to consider whether or not it is in the best interest of the school children’s health and safety for the District to sign a lease offer for their minerals with Extraction Oil and Gas at Coyote Ridge Elementary School.  Anyone who is a concerned parent of an Adams 12 student or a taxpayer who supports Adams 12 Schools is invited to sign here

Adams 12 Board will discuss the lease offer at their meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.  If you want to attend to express your concerns, the details are below.

Coyote Ridge Elementary is located within the Lowell South Spacing Unit of the Livingston Pad where Extraction has permits to drill 19 wells.  That pad is within 1 mile of the new Thunder Vista School and within 2 miles of Prospect Ridge Academy, Meridian Elementary and Coyote Ridge.

Here are 3 things you can do:

1)  Sign the petition here if you are either a parent of an Adams 12 student or a taxpayer who supports Adams 12 Schools 

2) Send your comments to the Adams 12 Board before Wednesday.  Please see the petition for suggestions. You can use the contact form here:

3) Attend the Adams 12 Board Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7 pm at 1500 E. 128th Avenue, Thornton 80234.  On the agenda, Item D2 is Lease of District Mineral Rights: Coyote Ridge Elementary.
