Write to City Council Before July 10 on CDP or Regulation Concerns

Comprehensive Drilling Plan

Are you concerned that there are many unresolved issues with Extraction’s Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP)? The City has over 40 unresolved issues, and citizens identified many more.

Are you concerned that the location of most of the pads is unresolved yet Extraction wants to City to approve the CDP? The State has indicated it will hold a hearing on July 30 & 31 on the pads that are proposed in close proximity to Adams County residents.
If you are concerned, please write City Council and staff by Tuesday, July 10, at council@broomfieldcitycouncil.org and ask them to stay strong and not to approve Extraction’s CDP until after:
1) The State COGCC hearing on July 30 & 31, and

2) All of the issues identified by the City and citizens have been addressed in Extraction’s CDP.

Regulations

Also at the July 10 Council meeting, a public hearing and possible vote on the City’s proposed new Oil and Gas Regulations will be held.  The regulations passed the first reading at the May 8 Council Meeting and were also discussed at the May 31 Study Session.
The agenda and any new version of the regulations should be available here later in the week.
Again, if you are concerned, please write City Council and staff by Tuesday, July 10, at council@broomfieldcitycouncil.org and ask them to stay strong.
