Special Meeting of the Board of Health is still scheduled for tonight, despite Extraction being granted a Temporary Restraining Order against Broomfield.

On Friday, March 27th, Extraction Oil and Gas obtained a Temporary Restraining Order by District Court Judge Robert W. Kiesnowski Jr. The restraining order prohibits Broomfield from “issuing any order directing Extraction to halt or suspend operations due to COVID-19 or other health-related concerns as developed at the Broomfield Board of Health, March 25, 2020, special meeting,” according to the release. “Should Broomfield issue any such order not based on valid health concerns, the court declares it to be void and of no force or effect during the period of this TRO.” On Monday, March 30th, Broomfield issued a response to this order, defending its ability to take action to protect public health and safety.
